Main Dining Room
With views overlooking the Killarney Channel and the Carousel Lounge, the lodge’s Main Dining Room offers a cozy, traditional atmosphere. Tables are set with soft linens and rich table setting, all surrounded by chalet decor and featuring paintings by some of Killarney’s best artists.
Perfect for any occasion, from a casual meal to special gatherings. Our menu blends classic lodge favourites with refined culinary touches, offering dishes that are both comforting and delightfully fresh.
The Great Room
A casual space where guests can drink, dine or simply unwind, the resort’s Great Room is a popular destination to share experiences and reflect on the day’s events. A large stone fireplace anchors the room, providing warmth and ambiance. Supple leather sofas and high-back chairs offer comfortable seating from which to enjoy the room’s rustic chalet design and picturesque views.
Large patio doors lead out to a tiered outdoor dining space. Under the shade of umbrellas guests can enjoy a delicious meal or sit back with a cocktail, watching the boats sail by on the lake.
The Carousel Lounge
With live music and dancing, local craft beer and globally sourced wine, the Resort’s Carousel Lounge is a thriving hub of entertainment!
Offering a stunning wrap around view of the Killarney Channel and rugged landscape, the Carousel Lounge is the Resort’s most popular gathering space. Order your meal in the main dining room and have it brought to the Carousel Lounge or Lounge Deck for a more casual dining experience. As the sun sets, listen to the melodies of local musicians, and enjoy the large central fireplace.
Curds ‘N Whey
Sitting on the edge of the peaceful waterfront, a quaint café invites passers-by to stop for a cup of tea and a sweet treat. Offering some of Killarney’s finest baked goods, the café’s fresh bread, muffins, tarts and squares pair beautifully with a warm coffee,
Meet The Chefs
Paul Huggins
Chef Paul Huggins is a celebrated culinary artist with over 20 years experience creating outstanding dining for guests in Canada and abroad.
Born and raised in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Paul grew up in a large Italian family where he developed a passion for cooking early on. His diverse food background spans many different cuisines and techniques resulting in presentations that blend traditional classics with modern flair.
Throughout his career, he has worked with some of the world’s best chefs at top restaurants and lodges. At each dining location, amplifying his skills and repertoire.
Paul gained international recognition after winning the title of ‘Iron Chef Niagara’ in 2014, which propelled him to Bermuda, where he worked closely with Celebrity Chef Marcus Samuelson and assisted with the opening of two new restaurants.
Chef Huggins’ refined palate and dedication to quality ingredients shine through in every dish he creates. He believes that food should be sourced locally and kept simple, allowing the ingredients to speak for themselves.
With a continuous drive to refine his culinary skills, Chef Paul Huggins is passionate about creating unique and memorable culinary adventures. We are grateful to have him lead our culinary team at Killarney Mountain Lodge.
Hanna Jo Clemens
Hanna started her culinary career working for the Charcoal Group in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. Shortly after graduation, Hanna agreed to take up a position in Killarney at the Sportsman’s Inn where she worked for four seasons. Hanna was then recruited to the Killarney Mountain Lodge where she was quickly promoted to Sous Chef during her first season in 2016. Hanna continued as Sous Chef as well as managing the baking and pastry department for four seasons.
Chef Hanna started her culinary career in high school while conducting a Youth Apprenticeship Program at Conestoga College. It was that program which led to a passion in baking and pastry. She continued her education at George Brown College in baking and pastry, graduating in 2012.
Before settling in Killarney, Hanna spent many off-seasons gaining other work experience mainly in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. Working for Sabletine (a French bakery) and The Culinary Studio (a recreational cooking school). In the winter of 2015, Hanna decided to go out to British Columbia to work for Canadian Mountain Holiday for a heli-skiing lodge. Said Hanna: “This is where I gained a lot of knowledge in other areas of hospitality as well as the culinary side, all while getting to live in the mountains.”
Hanna’s creativity in preparing some of the finest culinary delights ever tasted, her attention to detail, her work ethic, and her infectious positive personality all led to her becoming Head Chef of The Canada House in 2021. Everyone loves Chef Hanna!
